work and has built a strong reputation for providing expert
advice that is focussed on helping his clients succeed.
Andrew combines his experience working in the commercial
teams of national and international law firms with
his extensive in-house business experience to provide
pragmatic and business focussed advice.

Specialist Industry Areas
Building and Construction
Andrew is passionate about the building industry and was General
Counsel and a member of the Lead Team at Carters Building Supplies
for a number of years. Andrew now advises many clients in the
building and construction industry and is especially interested in
the Building Act reforms and health and safety. Continuing
his close association with the industry, Andrew was appointed to
the Board of the Frame and Truss Manufacturers Association of New
Zealand in 2019 and is looking forward to being a strong advocate
for its member base throughout the country. Andrew also regularly
contributes articles to building industry publications.
Franchising
Andrew joins the firm having previously been a partner at a
boutique business and franchising law practice. Andrew has
advised many of New Zealand's leading franchising systems both with
their franchising and broader commercial work. He has also
assisted many franchisees entering into franchising and is able to
draw upon his franchising industry contacts to ensure they obtain
the best accounting and finance advice.
Healthcare
Andrew has worked in-house in the healthcare sectors
both domestically and overseas (Fisher & Paykel
Healthcare and InHealth Group Limited). At InHealth Group, Andrew
advised the business on a series of significant tenders and
subsequent successful contractual arrangements with the
NHS.
Governance
Andrew has a particular interest in governance matters and is a
qualified Chartered Secretary and member of Governance New Zealand.
Andrew also sits on the Membership and Admission's Committee
for Governance New Zealand.
Andrew is also a member of the Institute of Directors and keeps
up to date with the latest governance developments.
