Philip Wells is an expert in corporate and commercial law
including financial structuring, corporate investment, takeovers,
large acquisitions and amalgamations.
Many local and overseas clients, including private investors,
appreciate Philip's expertise in all aspects of New Zealand
corporate and commercial law. He is a director of several
companies.
Philip joined the firm as a law clerk. He now offers over
40 years of legal expertise. He has an in-depth knowledge of wine
and spirit businesses in New Zealand. He also takes a keen interest
in global economics and developments in information technology.
Philip retired this year after many years as a director of Sika
New Zealand Limited, the New Zealand branch of Swiss
multinational speciality chemical company Sika AG which processes
materials for the construction, manufacturing and marine
industries.
From 1998 to early 2001, Philip Wells was on the Board of
Meritas (formerly known as Commercial Law Affiliates). Meritas is
the world's largest global alliance of independent, full-service
law firms.
